The Seagull S6 has been a favourite model of ours for years and nothing has happened to change our minds. The Seagull brand started its life back in Quebec in 1982, when Robert Godin produced his first guitar. He had the idea to take the essential components of the best hand-crafted guitars available and incorporate these features into guitars that could be priced within the reach of working musicians. This approach is still the company's main focus today.
The first thing you notice about the Seagull S6 Original, and the whole Seagull brand for that matter, is the tapered headstock design. This unique design allows a straight string pull to the machine heads, which dramatically improves tuning and reduces the need to tune the guitar regularly. The second feature is the slightly wider nut width that comes in at just over 45mm, making the Seagull S6 the perfect choice for the fingerstyle player or for the player that struggles on a more standard width neck.
