Jupiter have redesigned and improved many aspects of the keywork to provide the clarinet player with optimum playability and much more fluidity when moving between keys. For instance, the domed throat A key is now closer to the D/A ring key which reduces the chance of the player catching their index finger on the A key during transition between keys. The addition of nylon pins on the left hand spatula keys allows for smoother key action and the C/G tone hole has been raised, making coverage of the hole with the ring finger balanced. As mentioned previously, the already undercut tone holes have been improved and further cut to aid smoothness of play. The C#/G# and Eb/Bb key levers have been made parallel to make the keys more ergonomic and allow for smoother key action. And lastly, cork has been added to the D/A bridge key to aid ease of assembly, as this addition means that the player no longer needs to ensure they have pressed the D/A key during assembly to avoid it snapping.
