Martinez's MCG-80 series guitars all have a high-quality mahogany neck. Mahogany is a dense timber, offering excellent sustain and stability.

The spruce top on this model gives a slightly brighter sound.

Cutaway models are fitted with a Fishman Classic 4 pickup.
