About the Jupiter Brand

In the last decade Jupiter have been one of the fastest growing brands in the world, and out of all the manufacturers in the Far East, they have shown incredible commitment to improving the quality and design of their instruments. Here in the UK Jupiter are second only to Yamaha in their recognition as a quality manufacturer of Woodwind & Brass.

At Sheehans, we have been involved with Jupiter since they were first imported into the UK in the early 1980s. At that time we started to buy their Flute, which was a cut above similarly priced instruments, and represented great value for money. The next success was their range of Saxophones, which we have sold since the late eighties.

When we visited the Jupiter factories in 2001, we met with their R&D department to make suggestions to improve the quality of their student clarinet - subsequently in 2002 they launched a new model, which has been a great success. Whenever we make suggestions for improvements to the instruments' design and manufacture, we find that these are well received and acted upon promptly.

We receive an excellent standard of service from the importers, who will go to any lengths to ensure their customers are happy, and this gives us confidence in selling Jupiter products on to our customers. They are also actively trying to promote music making in schools through their Jupiter Soundstart program - music teachers not familiar with this initiative can find out more on Jupiter's UK website www.jupitermusic.co.uk

Jupiter Student Flutes

JFL-511ESSC Student Flute

A standard, good quality student flute, that will suit a complete beginner up to around grade 5 standard and above. Free blowing with a pleasing tone. The upgraded riser makes for a sweet sound in the upper register.

The build and sound quality makes these Jupiter student flutes excellent value for money - unlike many of the 'cheap' flutes on the market, these are a fully servicable instruments that are built to last.

JFL-515S Student Flute with curved head

As above, but supplied with a curved headjoint for very young beginners, who may have trouble reaching the lower keys.

Includes both curved and straight (standard) headjoints.

The JFL-911ES represents the entry level of Jupiter's Di-Medici range of flutes, aimed at the more advanced student.

This particular model features a solid headjoint (92.5% silver content)*, with a silver-plated body and foot.
